MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Oh my goodness this Christmas was so much fun. Reagan was so adorable. I LOVED IT. As soon as we came down the stairs and sat in front of the CHRISTMAS TREE, you could see the excitement in our little 7 month old eyes. usually she would get up and try to combat crawl as fast as she could to get to the item of her EXCITMENT... but this morning it was so adorable. We set Reagan smack in front of the Christmas tree and she just sat there and starred at the LIGHTS and mountain of presents and every once in awhile she would look back at me and say "uh...uh...uh".....as if to say "What is all of this????" then she saw it... sitting on the side of the tree was a beautiful ROCKING HORSE. Her eyes got really wide and as soon as she sat on it and it started moving and talking to her she knew it was alive. She started to get the same type of excitement that she gets when she sees a dog or a cat... Reagan held on to the mien so tight and hugged it. I think she has found her best friend... I love how excited she is about her rocking horse.

Reagan also got a bunch of TOYS, a few really cute outfits, an adorable pair of boots, her first purse complete with lip stick, jewelry, keys, mirror, and money... (its educational) but i think her favorite thing about Christmas was the WRAPPING PAPER. hahaha.... Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Johnson and Bladh and to all of Reagan's aunts and uncle for a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!

Baby Jesus

Every year at our Christmas party, the Nordstom side of the family has a live nativity. All the young children get to play all the roles. it doesn't feel like it was too long ago that i was up there myself acting out the role of Mary holding a doll as baby Jesus, or even dressing up all in white with a gold garland wrapped around my head as my halo, to play an angel with all the other kids that they didn't know what else to do with..... it seems so crazy that this year my own child got to be in the nativity. Reagan was given the role of baby Jesus to play.... i was actually terrified for her to play this role because she is always growling... i was scared she was going to growl and make baby Jesus look possessed. she was perfect. She did try climbing out of the manger a few times and even eating it as well, but other than that she did well. i was so proud. she was smiling so big... and whenever she saw me or daddy she would get so excited. she loved being the center of attention. In my opinion, this years Nativity was the best we have ever had.

Our Little Santa

I figured I needed to take some pictures she will hate me for taking someday. you know, the ones that you show to her date as she is in her room finishing up getting ready. Every parent needs "blackmail" pictures... (right mom) hahaha... these are too cute. Reagan loved taking these and actually smiled the whole time and even cried when I put her diaper back on. I love my naked Santa!

Army Crawl

It is so much fun to watch Reagan progress everyday... She is not only rolling around everywhere but she figured out a way to go forward as well. It was so funny to see how mad she got when she saw a toy or even daddy's shoe in front of her and she didn't know how to move forward so she can shove it into her mouth. She finally figured out an Army Crawl.... Its Hilarious. when she figured out how to move forward she was so excited at her accomplishment that she would squeal and kick her arms and legs everywhere. But its been a few days now and she is getting frustrated again. This time its because she cant get to the toys fast enough... ha ha ha... I'm sure she will be crawling any day now.

Rollie Pollie

Reagan has figured out that if she keeps rolling she can go places. She has become a rolling machine. One day i was working on the computer and i set her on a blanket on the floor next to me with a bunch of her toys... when i looked up at her she was gone. She was on the opposite end of our bedroom chewing on the leg of her crib. I had no idea that she had figured out how to roll around. Now she has so much fun exploring and getting herself around. She just gets really upset when she cant get something thats in front of her cause she can only go sideways

Uncle Nate

Uncle Nathan came to Temecula for Thanksgiving. He came to see Celeste... but it was still so much fun to see him. Its been awhile. Gabe, Reagan and I loved visiting with Celeste and him on Thanksgiving day. Reagan loves her uncle. She kept grabbing his face and she talked to him like crazy. It was so cute. I sometimes wonder what she is trying to say.... probably "gosh uncle Nate, you need to Marry Celeste already! I like her.." yep that was probably it... what! i didnt say it... reagan did!

6 Month Doctor Visit...

Reagan just finished her shots today! She did surprisingly well but oh how i hated them. Hopefully no more doctor visits till she is one!

The other day Gabe , Reagan and I decided that we would stop and walk through all the cute boutiques that we always drive by. it was really fun to actually see the old side of texas.

Reagan was the cutest little ballarena that you ever did see. we went to a friends house to pass out candy ... they actually had a cotton candy machine. it was a lot of fun. Reagan is so adorable. i just love her to pieces.

The funniest thing ever!

Here in Texas we have become great friends with a couple named Ben and Collete and they have two of the most adorable little boys... These little boys love Dinosaur's so much that they are always pretending that they are dinosaur's. They are stomping around and instead of talking they growl. It is so funny. We went out to eat with them the other day and the whole time these boys were growling and Reagan was laughing so hard. Actually I have NEVER heard Reagan laugh so hard and loud before. it was hilarious. It didn't matter how many times these boys would growl... she thought it was the funniest thing. well... the next morning I go into Reagan's room to get her up for the day to find that she is already awake. She was in her crib growling like a dinosaur. I started laughing so hard. Now she does it everywhere we go. I'm sure people are starting to think i have a possessed baby cause it seriously sounds like a little demon growl but I think its the cutest thing ever.

Two Years!

Gabe and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary! Its hard to believe we have been married for that long already. I love practically everything about Gabe. He makes me laugh. people are always saying that we seem to have so much fun together.... and we do. We are so good together. When I'm not with him, I miss him like crazy... and I know he feels the same way cause he calls me all the time and I love it! I am so lucky to have married my best friend.

Reagan's "Tricks"

Reagan has just started imitating me. It is so cute and you can tell she thinks she is so clever. She gets the biggest kick out of herself. Its hilarious.
If you blow a raspberry at her, she pokes out her tongue for a second then makes a gurgle sound in her mouth that sounds like she is blowing a raspberry. Its so funny... the longer you do it, the longer she gurgles back. Its like she is having a competition with you on who can blow the best raspberries.

My favorite "trick" she does, doesn't happen too often. She has to be in just the right mood... but if you catch her in it... and you are lucky enough to see it, I'm sure you will get a good laugh ... if you stick your tongue out at her and make the "nannie nannie nannie" sound she will try to imitate that too. she has got the tongue part right... she is still working on the sound. but its so cute.

"Singing Under the Stars"

This was a fun trip to Utah to visit family. One of my favorite times while were visiting was the night we had the Bonfire in my parents back yard..... We were only missing Nate, Dan and Jason . But we had so much fun... Roasting smores, ligting sparklers, goofing off, singing songs, and just talking and having fun. This is what I think of when I think of my family.... Us all getting together doing something random but fun... and someone always busting out a guitar... Kumbaya! ....hahaha... We always have a good time and these are memories that I will always remember. It's so muh fun to have your family as your best friends.

Road Trip

Emaley, Reagan and I went on a road trip to St. George to visit Grandma and Grandpa Bladh. It was so much fun. It was a lot of fun to spend that extra time with Emaley. When we got there Grandma had lunch waiting for us and some of her famous fudge. Reagan got to meet her Great Grandma and Grandpa Bladh for the first time. They just adored her. Grandma held her and played with her and Grandpa sat in his recliner chair and kept talking to her. Reagan loved Grandpa, she kept smiling so big at him. Every time someone would walk by grandpas chair with Reagan he would reach out and grab her little toes. it was definitely a fun trip.

Fun at Grandma & Grandpa Bladhs House

Reagan had so much fun playing with her Grandma and Grandpa Bladh! She got spoiled rotten with love. She was able to stay up way past her bed time, hang out with them at the movie theater, Grandma gave her baths in the sink...and someone held her every second. she was in heaven and she cant wait till she gets to go visit them again.

Nordstrom Family Reunion

The Nordstrom Family Reunion was so much fun. Gabe wasn't able to be there for very long, but Reagan and I were there for the whole time. It was great. We all had family dinners and activities together and of course "Talent Show Night" We all went to 7 peaks and we had BBQ's and my mom set up a big water slide up in the backyard for all the kids. Reagan had fun with all the attention she got especially from all the little kids. It was definitely different than most of our reunions, but I never care what we do for the family reunion, as long as we are together we always have fun.

Congrats April & Daren

April is a greater sister and friend than anyone could ask for.... and she was so lucky to marry her best friend, Daren Smith, on Aug 1st, 2009....it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings I've ever been to. They are seriously so adorable together... I have never seen April so happy as she was on her wedding day. They had a ton of dancing, balloons, cupcakes and ice cream... you can't go wrong with ice cream. The whole wedding had a vintage feel to it. April looked gorgeous in her dress and Daren looked dapper in his suit. they couldn't have asked for a better day. Congrats April & Daren!!!!

Johnson Family in Utah

When we went to visit Utah...Grandma Johnson, Auntie Shayna, Auntie Tera, and Uncle Eric came out as well.... so Reagan got to meet them for the first time. It was so much fun visiting with them. I wish we lived near them. Its so hard not living near any family. Reagan loved it, Grandma Johnson spoiled her with lots of hugs and kisses. She had a lot of fun with all the attention she recieved.... she never had to worry about being put down for one second. If it wasnt Grandma Johnson holding her it was either Auntie Shayna Or Auntie Tera. We had so much fun seeing them and cant wait till we get to see them again. hopefully we can go to california for Christmas so Reagan can meet Grandpa Johnson soon.

Meeting her cousins for the first time

Doug and Emaley came to Utah as well for Aprils wedding and the family Reunion... so Reagan got to meet them, along with her cousins Keenin and Reese for the first time.
Keenin loved holding Reagan. He would ask to hold and feed her all the time... and if Reagan ever started to cry, Keenin was the first one to go and check on her to make sure she was alright. He got Reagan to smile and even laugh a few times. She definitely loved the attention she got from Keenin.
Reese seemed to like Reagan alright, but she was much more entertained by "grandmas cats". She asked to hold and play with Reagan a few times, but it never lasted very long cause as soon as she remembered about the cats waiting outside .... She was very quick to give her back to me. But I could tell that Reagan loved to watch Reese at play....I'm sure she cant wait to join her.

Great Gatsby Party

Aprils bridal shower was Great Gatsby theme. It was so much fun. Everything was black and white and vintage. It was a dress up shower and I was surprised at how many people showed up all dressed up in 20's style clothes. We had a table full of things like pearls, feathers and headbands that people who didn't come dressed up could put on so everyone was dressed for the "Roaring 20's". We played a few games and April got a bunch of fun things for her shower... And we all took picture out by the "Model A" outside. it was definitely a fun shower.

Uncle Jason

When I was pregnant with Reagan.... Uncle Jason use to sing to her in my belly. When he did this, Reagan would start to turn, flip and kick me like crazy while he played... I could tell she really enjoyed the music.... When we went to visit my parents house in Utah, Jason took his guitar and began to sing to her.... Reagan was mesmerised. She did not take her eyes off of him. I really think she remembered how he use to play for her. Jason has found his biggest fan.

Trip to the Doctors

When i took Reagan to the Doctors for her appt. we sat in the waiting room for at least an hour... she was so good.... but by the time they called her name, her diaper was pretty full.... they wanted to take her weight so i asked if i could change her or take her diaper off... but they assured me since it was just wet, that it would only add an oz or two on to the weight and they would be sure to just take 2 oz off the final weight... and that ended up being 11lbs 10oz ... I was shocked cause when we took her in only one month before she weighed 7lbs. i couldnt imagine her gaining that much weight in just one month. We did her whole check up and right before we were about to leave the office, i asked if we could weigh her one more time since i changed her diaper... and this time she weighed 9lbs 1oz... hahahaha...i couldnt believe it... her diaper weighed almost 3lbs!

So reagan is now: 9lbs 1 oz and 21" long (she is will be 3 months on the 4th)

Super Baby!!!

One of Reagans favorite things to do is "Super Baby". It doesn't matter if she has been upset or even crying.... all we have to do is do super baby with her and as soon as you do, she kicks her feet out and locks her legs, picks her head up and puts her arms in a position where it looks like if you were to let go of her, she would actually be flying..... Its hilarious. She loves it. She will either get this very serious look on her face like she is concentrating really hard on something or she will get one of those huge gummy smiles. she even sometimes gets so excited that she will blow bubbles... and that's the only time she will do that. She makes me laugh so hard.

HOW RANDOM!!

While we were driving around Down Town Austin we drove past this SUPER RANDOM, hilariously funny field of Hot Pink Flamingos! .... We thought it was so freak n' rad that we couldn't help but pull the car over and get out and take a picture of us right in the middle of them.

The Best F.H.E ever....

For Family Home Evening we decided that we would start doing service for each other and today Gabe gave me a pedicure.... It was very sweet and he actually took it very seriously... hahaha ... its definitely not the best pedicure I've ever had, by any means...( no offence Gabe) but I love Gabe so much and even though it was a little thing... its things like this that make me love him more and more each day... Gabe is the best and I AM SO LUCKY!

Happy 4th of July!

This was Reagans 1st 4th of July.... we got her all dressed up in her patriatic outfit and cute bib that her grandma got her.... she looked so adorable. we spent the evening at a friends house for dinner and then we all went out to watch the fireworks... Reagan slept most of the time but when she was awake she seemed to enjoy herself.... i dont think she really knew what was going on... but she enjoys being outside, so she had fun.

Pink Polka Dots!

Grandma Johnson got Reagan the cutest dress ever. She looked like a doll at church. I am in love with our little daughter... It was so cute, there was a little girl about 1 1/2 years old sitting in front of us at church banging on the chairs in the back of the chapel and Reagan was staring at her all of sacrament meeting. Whenever the little girl would look at Reagan... Reagan would get the biggest smile on her face. It was adorable... I swear Reagan wanted to jump off my lap and play with her... I can just see it now...pretty soon its going to be her banging on the chairs in sacrament meeting. ha ha

Auntie Sophia comes to visit

We had so much fun with Sophia here. Reagan loved her. While she was here Reagan started smiling more and she even started cooing and baby talk... I'm excited Reagan is getting into the "fun stage". While Sophia was here we did a lot... We went to a concert by the river in San Marcos to watch a bunch of county singers perform under the stars. We took a day and went to San Antonio, she and Gabe went Shooting. We went to the Salt Grass (our favorite Steak house) and of course we went shopping at the famous La Cantera and outlet malls. Sophia is the first on Gabe's side of the family to meet our little Reagan and we are so glad she came.

Happy Fathers Day!!!!

Today was Gabe's first Fathers day! I am so proud of the father that he already is. You can just tell that Reagan loves him so much. Whenever Gabe holds her she gets the biggest smile on her face. Its so cute how she already has Daddy wrapped around her tiny little finger. Reagan and I are so lucky to have him in our lives.... he has one of the sweetest and strongest testimonies of our Savior that i know. I'm sure that Gabe is going to teach her so much and Reagan is going to look up to him as one of her greatest examples.

Daddy Bladh~ 365 days after I was born... my little brother Nathan was born so I didn't have much time to be the baby of the family... so my dad took it upon himself to hold me and play with me.... There are so many pictures that i have of me sitting on daddy's lap..... I love my dad so much... when I think of the word charity I automatically think of him... he is such a selfless person ... he is always thinking of others and would take the shirt off his back for anyone. he is a great man.... and definitely one of my biggest hero's....

Daddy Johnson! Gabe's dad is such a wonderful man. I am so lucky to have married into such a great family... Gabe looks up to his father so much and has so many great memories of him as they grew up. Anyone who knows Gary would know that he would do anything for his family. The great qualities that Gabe has now of being hard working, goal oriented and self motivated are things that he learned from his father. Gabe has so much love and respect for him. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Family BBQ

We decided to start a little family tradition since we have been here in Texas. Since we cant continue the tradition of eating dinner at my parents house on Sundays ...Gabe and I decided that we are going to have a BBQ every Sunday. So this Sunday we went down by the pool side of our apartment complex for our BBQ and we put Reagan in her cute little polka dot bathing suit that Auntie April got her and the sunglasses that Auntie Sophia got her. (she is so spoiled by her Aunties) She looked so adorable. Thanks April and Sophia!

How can you take this face seriously?!?!?!

Reagan makes the cutest faces... but i think that her sad face has to be one of her cutest. It is so dramatic it's funny. She honestly doesn't cry that often... she actually pouts and whimpers, and its just to let us know that shes not happy about something... most of the time its because she wants us to pay more attention to her. It's so hard for me not to laugh or smile when she starts to whimper and puts on her sad face. I know I shouldn't... but I cant help it... just look at that face... she is just too adorable.

Reagan goes to the Doctors

Reagan went to her one month doctor apt and she has grown so much. I cant believe it! The doctor measured her and said that she has grown 2 inches... so she is now 19" long. She has also gained a bunch of weight, she is now 7lbs. My little baby is growing up. she is still so tiny though. She is in the 2nd percentile for her age. Anyways the doctor who saw Reagan said that she has never seen a newborn so alert and attentive. She told us that it is probably a sign of things to come. oh no! I guess we need to prepare ourselves to have one active girl.

Our first family outting!

Last night Gabe, Reagan and i went to "THE GROVE" here in Austin... we had so much fun. The Grove is a large outdoor shopping center ... but every friday night during the summer they put on an outdoor concert in the middle of a grove of trees... They had a local rock band playing and there were sooo many families sitting on blankets and lawn chairs across the grass.. they even have a fountain in the middle of the grove that a ton of kids in their bathing suits were running and playing through... it was a very fun atmosphere. Reagan was so good... she loved listening to the music, and being held by mommy and daddy. We sat on top of a hill against a tree and had a real fun time on our first family outting in Austin.....  

Reagans first week at church

Today we went to church here in Austin for the first time. We put Reagan in her cute little red preemie dress and headed out the door. We actually got lost on the way to church and didnt get there till the end. Oops! But we had a bunch of people in the ward introduce themselves. We are so excited for this ward. They all seem so friendly. It looks as if Reagan will have plenty of friends in the ward to play with.... there are a bunch of little kids, even a few newborns. Anyways today was a good day.

Reagans first bath

Reagan turned one week old today and her umbilical cord fell off. So... The tradition continues.... Grandma Bladh was so excited to give her her first bath in the sink.... we went to Grandmas house and Grandma had everything all set up and ready to go.... Reagan didnt know what to think at first... she started to cry when she was put in the water... but after a minute her cries turned into whimpers and then they slowly turned into sighs when she realised that she was really enjoying her bath... once she figured that out she was so cute.... she kept sighing, letting us know just how much she loved her bath. (what a relief for mommy.) Reagan has been such a good baby... we are so blessed.... it just keeps getting better and better.

Anyways Grandma Bladh kept the tradition alive and sang "Bubble Toes" as im sure i will some day when i have grandkids of my own.... when Reagan was all clean Grandma took her out of the sink and wraped her up in a big fluffy towel... and Reagan was now crying because she was sad her bath was over.... its so fun to see her personality slowly start to unfold... to start to get to know her likes and dislikes.... im so glad that a bath is something she enjoys!

Here she comes...

HERE SHE IS!Gabe got home from being gone for three months and Reagan must have known it... for about a week i have been begging her to wait until Daddy got home before she decided to come into the world... and i guess she listened. But as soon as Gabe got here she couldn't wait to get out. i went into labor at 1am... but actually didn't know it... i thought it was false labor... i was not able to fall asleep, so I just did a few things around the house while Gabe slept. At around 7:00 am i decided that maybe I should stop by the hospital so I woke up Gabe and by the time i got there they said I was already 8cm and they couldn't believe i had just came in... I guess it wasn't false labor after all! After we got there it wasn't much longer until we finally met little Reagan. I had no idea that having a baby would be such an amazing experience. And actually surprisingly very easy. I told Gabe that I'm ready for our next one... he just laughed at me. But after seeing how cute little Reagan is... how can anyone not want a whole dozen of them. We are so excited to be new parents... I'm sure we are going to learn so much and like everyone says... Our lives will never be the same.

Reagan...Day One

Reagan Kay Johnson

We cant believe that she is finally here. She is more beautiful than we ever imagined. Reagan was born May 4th 2009 at 12:20 pm ...she weighs 5 lbs 11 oz and is only 17 inches long. She is so small. Gabe and i still cant believe that she is ours. When she was born, she came out smiling. and she has been smiling ever since. so far she is so happy. I know, I know, its only the second day... but heres hoping. She has brown hair and (so far) blue eyes, she even has dimples!
